Worship
Rooted in Christ. Growing in Faith. Sharing Christ's Love.
Rooted in Christ. Growing in Faith. Sharing Christ's Love.
Our worship seeks to Glorify God, Pray for God's continued Presence in this world, Proclaim God's Word to inform us and teach us how to live, and to Celebrate the Sacraments. It is part of our response to God's Saving Grace.
We gather for worship each Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Our worship is primarily traditional, while occasionally incorporating contemporary music. Each service includes prayer, congregational singing, Scripture, and the proclamation of God's Word. Our small choir also helps lead us in worship.
A typical worship service lasts about an hour.
All are welcome. You do not need to be a member of Matoaca United Methodist Church to participate in worship.
Holy Communion
We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
Christ's table is open to all. You do not have to be a member of Matoaca United Methodist Church—or even a member of a church—to receive Communion.
Come and share in the grace of God given to us through Jesus Christ.
Come worship with us.
Whether you are a longtime follower of Christ, returning to church, or simply wondering what faith might mean for your life, there is a place for you here.

We gather because God is worthy of worship. We gather because we need God's grace. We gather because we need one another. And we leave prepared to love and serve.
